Have you noticed the rugged Welsh Montain Ponies near Penderyn ? They inhabit many parts of the Brecon Beacons National Park and are now recognised as a rare breed. They have been a part of the Welsh landscape for thousands of years.
According to the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority : The ponies have a long association with Wales. They are short and sturdy, well suited a a life amongst the rocks and crags of the Welsh mountains. Combined with an even but spirited temperament they have found service as riding and work horses over centuries.
Trefoil Guild UK Camera Group have contributed some photos of Welsh Mountain Ponies in your Penderyn Photo Gallery.
